Role overview
We are seeking an ambitious and driven Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to join our expanding Private Client Tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity to manage a well-established compliance portfolio, mentor junior team members, and deliver high-quality tax services to a diverse range of private clients.
As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager your typical daily duties will include:
* Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, business owners, trusts, and other complex private clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance services.
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients within your portfolio, building strong relationships and ensuring a high level of service.
* Reviewing self-assessment tax returns and associated computations prepared by junior staff.
* Supervising mentoring, and support junior team members, providing training and feedback to aid their development.

Working arrangements
The working week: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday) to be worked from 09:00-17:30 with flexibility of hours to meet specific work demands.

Person specifications – Desirable experience and skills
* CTA qualified or equivalent
* Strong experience in private client tax
* Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients independently
* Experience reviewing tax returns and mentoring junior staff
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive, organised, and client-focused approach
* Proficiency in CCH software for tax return preparation
* A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
