Are you an organised and proactive Administrator looking to take the next step in your career? We’re partnering with a well-established law firm in Gateshead who are seeking a professional and reliable Administrator to join their team on a 6-month contract.

About the Role

As the Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting solicitors and fee earners with day-to-day tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the office and maintaining a professional, welcoming environment. From managing correspondence to preparing documents and keeping case files updated, you’ll be an essential part of the team.

This is a fantastic position for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being at the heart of a busy legal office.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide general administrative support to solicitors and fee earners
* Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence professionally and efficiently
* Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, letters, and reports
* Maintain accurate case files and update the case management system
* Schedule appointments, meetings, and manage team calendars
* Assist with scanning, printing, photocopying, and filing
* Welcome clients and visitors, offering a friendly and professional front-of-house service
* Handle all incoming and outgoing post
* Support compliance tasks, including ID checks and document verification
* Ensure confidentiality and data security at all times

About You

You’re a reliable and organised Administrator who enjoys being part of a professional team. You’re confident when communicating with clients, comfortable managing a busy workload, and always maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

You’ll need:

* Previous administration experience (legal or professional services preferred, but not essential)
* Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
* A polite, confident communication style
* The ability to work proactively and manage multiple priorities
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
* Experience using a case management system (desirable)
* A positive team-focused attitude with a willingness to support colleagues

* Competitive salary of £25,000 – £28,000 pro rata
