We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing a career in research within one of London's leading oncology and haematology research teams.
Role Overview
After completing a comprehensive induction, you will lead the coordination of clinical trials, assist with trial setup, identify and discuss trials with patients, collect and report data, and support patients and their carers throughout treatment.
Location
This Clinical Research Practitioner position is based in the Lung Research Team at the Cancer Centre, Guy's Hospital.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a caseload of participants in various clinical research studies.
2. Support participants and their families, acting as their advocate.
3. Identify suitable patients for trials and work independently within professional guidelines and research governance.
4. Collaborate across disciplines to ensure project success.
5. Supervise and mentor staff, contribute to service evaluation and improvement.
6. Ensure research compliance with GCP and Medicines for Human Use regulations.
7. Facilitate high-quality research production.
Team and Environment
Part of Kings Health Partners, the Oncology and Haematology Clinical Trials team comprises over fifty staff members, including Research Nurses, Clinical Trial Practitioners, Coordinators, and Support Teams. We work closely with medical teams to recruit and monitor patients across a range of Phase II and III trials, as well as early-phase studies.
