The Role As a Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons across the curriculum. You will support pupils to develop independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours, preparing them for future stages of their education. You will collaborate with teaching assistants, Key Stage 2 colleagues, and senior leaders to maintain high standards and ensure a consistent, inclusive learning experience. Building strong relationships with parents and carers is also an essential part of the role. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the Year 3 curriculum Track pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs Differentiate learning for all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours Maintain a structured and inclusive classroom environment Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and school initiatives The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3 Be confident delivering literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Show a commitment to inclusion and safeguarding Work effectively as part of a collaborative team Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and will receive mentoring and support.
