What does it involve?
Every year, from late June to August, we welcome hundreds of young international students aged 817. Our aim is to give them a fun, memorable, and educational holiday, combining English language classes with a packed programme of activities and excursions. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our Activities team in Canterbury. As an Activity Leader, you’ll lead and support students in a wide range of activities, from sports, drama, and arts to quizzes, discos, and fashion shows. No two days are the same.
You’ll also guide students on trips to theme parks, cities, and historical sites, ensuring every outing is safe, fun, and full of adventure. You’ll be supported with activity plans, resources, and training to help you succeed.
Contracts: We offer contracts of 4 or more weeks between late-June to late-August. The role involves working up to 6 days per week, with variable hours (maximum 48 hours per week).

Pay: Rates: £12.21 per hour (Age 21+) £11.22 per hour (Age 18-20) plus holiday entitlement. To be reviewed in January 2026.

What you’ll need to be an Activity Leader:
* Lots of confidence and enthusiasm. Specific qualifications or activities/sports expertise aren't required, but you must have a strong interest in leading a variety of activities for young people.
* You must be professional, friendly and have a good understanding of how to support the well-being of young people.
* Be flexible, adaptable, and able to think on your feet.
* This is a really active position, so you need plenty of energy to keep up with busy days of activities and excursions.
* Be a great communicator with a good level of spoken and written English.
* Safeguarding is a big part of the job, and we take it very seriously. So, as you would expect, if successful we will facilitate an Enhanced DBS check as part of our safer recruitment policy.
