SENIOR BUILDING SURVEYOR
An excellent career opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to play a key part in a successful practice, dealing with a wide range of projects with an emphasis on the insurance market. Working under instruction from some of the largest insurance companies in the UK along with the insured parties themselves, the successful candidate will be engaged in claims across a broad field, from historic buildings to small residential to Super Prime London properties.
We are small enough to be flexible and dynamic in our approach, but our portfolio of work and variety of work is far reaching. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate to get on at ground level and progress in a fast-expanding practice that will support you and play to your strengths and ambitions.
Primarily based at the company’s head office in beautiful North Devon, the successful candidate would be required to regularly travel elsewhere in the UK to visit project locations, many of which are located in the South East.

Founded in 2005, Chris Potter Associates Ltd is an independent and highly experienced multidisciplinary construction consultancy, providing professional building surveying, quantity surveying and project management services across a wide range of business sectors. We are a small and friendly team based in Braunton, 2 miles from the beautiful north Devon coast with its stunning long sandy surfing beaches and a short drive from Exmoor National Park.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
* MRICS qualified
* Degree level qualified, or have a strong equivalent experience in quantity/building surveying
* Hands on and practical in their approach.
* Experienced in the investigation, diagnosis and repair of Latent Defects to new build properties.
* Confident and personable, with strong communication and organisational skills
The Package Will Include:
* Total package including salary, performance bonus and company car allowance of £75,000 to £85,000 depending on experience.
* 28 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays
* The opportunity to progress to Associate
