About The Role
We are seeking a talented Planning Director to join our OpenDoor team in London. This full-time position reports to the Regional Planning Lead and manages a team of four across EU markets. The role supports WPP’s mission to deliver excellence and consistency for Amazon’s diverse businesses including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI.
Responsibilities
1. Media Planning:
o Develop expertise in media channels, ecosystems, and planning best practices.
o Translate strategic approaches into planning for client briefs and pitches.
o Understand Purchase Journey thinking and planning tools to analyze consumer and business opportunities.
o Maintain an overview of media market trends and build relationships with media owners.
2. Campaign Management & Communication:
o Oversee campaign quality and output.
o Build client and agency relationships, understanding stakeholder needs.
3. Communications Planning & Storytelling:
o Lead multi-market communication strategies.
o Guide planning teams and own presentation narratives.
o Lead brainstorms, problem-solving, and data integration for campaigns.
o Utilize WPP and Amazon tools for planning and performance tracking.
o Collaborate across teams for seamless campaign delivery.
o Explore new technologies and industry trends.
4. Qualifications
o Proficiency in presenting data and platform-based storytelling.
o Strong communication and client engagement skills.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a partnership mindset.
o Understanding of behavior change theories and their application in campaigns.
o Consistent delivery of impactful communications and campaign management.
