About Us
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome‑focused support to over 2,800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland, making us the country’s largest provider of social care. We support people with a range of needs, including physical and learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse, and autism. Some of those we support may exhibit challenging behaviours or require a high level of personal care.
Role
Eligibility: Only male applicants who hold a full UK manual driving licence and have access to their own car are considered. Working hours: 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Assist individuals living in their own homes with daily life tasks such as medication management, financial support, housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care.
* Provide appropriate moving and handling support (training will be supplied).
* Engage with clients’ hobbies and interests, for example by joining them for meals, films, gym sessions, or other group activities.
Qualifications
* Empathetic and caring nature.
* Good observation skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confidence using computers.
* Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
* Good organisational skills.

Terms & Conditions
All successful applicants will receive a conditional offer, subject to satisfactory references and a Personnel Vetting Group (PVG) check. Having a conviction will not necessarily disqualify a candidate. New staff members are required to register with the Social Services Sector Council (SSSC) within three months of their start date.
