Purpose
To oversee and line manage the paraplanning team to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate research and financial planning reports are completed for AFH advisers. Act as a ‘go-to' for questions and queries across the team, lead support for training new employees, and take on additional responsibilities such as projects outside the usual client work.
As Our Paraplanning Manager, You Will Be Responsible For
* Developing and managing a high-calibre team of paraplanners, identifying any training needs within the team or for specific team members
* Managing team workflow requirements effectively, ensuring the team adheres to SLAs and key performance metrics, and escalating any issues if necessary. Holding regular meetings with individuals, whilst also contributing and assisting in the running of wider team meetings
* Maintaining regular checks on the quality of the reports, turnaround times, and adherence to processes. Providing feedback and coaching to support the team to further improve our service delivery
* Ensuring the paraplanning team adheres to all standard operating procedures in line with FCA regulations
* Being involved in team projects and adhering to set deadlines
* Looking out for areas in which team processes can be improved
What we are looking for in our ideal Paraplanning Manager:
* Diploma in Financial Planning as a minimum qualification requirement
* Demonstration of knowledge, interest, and experience in personal financial planning and in the construction of financial planning research and reports
* Experience in an IFA environment, demonstrating quality communication of constructive feedback
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in written/numerical skills
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
