Pay rate – £30 per hour Contract – Temporary Kirklees Council are currently recruiting an experienced adult’s Social Worker for their Learning Disabilities team based in Huddersfield. The Learning Disability Social Work Team is a well-established team of experienced Social Workers and Community Assessment Support Officers, delivering statutory social work interventions for adults of all ages with a Learning Disability. The team are committed to working collaboratively with partner agencies and community resources, to ensure people receive the right support from the right place at the right time. A supportive team, and work closely with Health colleagues to deliver high-quality, strength-based and person-centred support. The team works in rights-based, person-centred way which promotes choice and skills development to support independence and wellbeing. Working people to enable them to be independent, fulfilled and to live within their communities. Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules.
