Starting salary: £26,676 - £29,395 (experience dependant) P&A L2 pp6-8

Our Land Rights & Consents Team play a pivotal role in facilitating a variety of works ensuring that we have permission to access land and property to construct new spans of electricity network and provide new connections to our network. Our Land Rights Support roles are either office based, or a mix of office and field based where you’ll meet customers and landowners face to face to discuss our proposals. Our assessment process will give you the opportunity to find out more and will align you to the role that best fits your experience and skill set.
You will be supporting our team of experienced Land Rights Surveyors, speaking to customers on their behalf regarding the progress of their new supplies, or to landowners regarding consents, payments or compensation settlements following site works. You’ll get involved from the very beginning of new works (varying in size from small to large) and will be responsible for completing initial land ownership and environmental searches, issuing simple consents and applications, processing payment requests and completing regular progress reviews and updates. In time you will become responsible for your own landowner enquiries and be expected meet landowners on site face to face to complete simple consents yourself.
Essentially you should be someone who:
•likes dealing with people - you should be comfortable speaking to a range of different stakeholders on the phone, via e-mail or face to face and be able to answer their queries confidently;
•enjoys working in a busy environment;
•can coordinate multiple tasks at the same time and who has an enquiring mind;
•enjoys problem solving to be able to develop in the role and progress within the team;
•Is generally IT literate and able to input data and update internal systems accurately and consistently; and
•has a passion for customer service, seeking to deliver an excellent service providing professional updates and advice when required.

Ideally, we’d like you to have an understanding or experience of one of the following areas, but this is not essential:
•Customer Service;
•Farming/Environment;
•Land/Property
•Law.
In addition:
• A full clean driving license is desirable.
• Candidates should hold 2 A levels or equivalent qualifications.
