Grade 5 - £34,416 - £37,536 per annum
The Resident Services Team is responsible for assisting tenants to sustain their tenancies, encouraging independence, and promoting their quality of life, safeguarding, health, and well-being. The team handles a wide range of issues including housing, welfare rights, personal finance, hoarding, tenancy management, mediation, life skills, and personal independence.
The role involves providing a high-quality housing management compliance service, dealing with fire risk assessments, clutter, unauthorised items in communal and storage areas (including utility and intake cupboards) within Havering Council’s social housing stock. The post also involves acting as an advocate and champion for the borough.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support residents in sustaining their homes and maintaining quality of life.
2. Provide advice and support on issues such as hoarding, storage in the stock, and mobility scooter storage.
3. Act as the principal point of contact to ensure the environment and condition of estates are high quality and well maintained.
4. Develop strong links with other council departments to provide solutions, including access, fire risk mitigation, hoarding management, and supporting vulnerable residents. Take action in line with tenancy terms, leases, or legal remedies where relevant.
5. Respond to Member Enquiries, service requests, demands, and complaints as directed.
6. Collaborate with police, London Fire Brigade, statutory partners, council services, external partners, and enforcement agencies to prevent and resolve anti-social behaviour, nuisance, and environmental issues.
7. Enforce breaches as deemed necessary.
You must have a full UK manual driving license.
