About the Role
We're looking for a talented and self-driven
Graphic Designer
to join our growing creative team at
Freight Island
* a cultural destination for food, drink and unforgettable experiences in Manchester and beyond.
This is a role for someone who knows how to balance your craft and bold creativity with structured processes. You'll help shape the visual identity of one of the UK's most exciting hospitality brands, working across food, drink, music, and events to bring bold ideas to life.
You'll work within our Marketing team to deliver engaging, effective design work across multiple channels - from posters, menus, and digital ads to pitch decks, packaging and on-site branding.
You'll need to be confident across both print and digital, comfortable handling multiple deadlines, and ready to take initiative. Most of all, you're a designer who loves what you do and has your finger firmly on the cultural pulse.

Freight Island is a cultural destination for food, drink and entertainment based at Depot Mayfield, Manchester. We're home to 12 kitchens, 8 bars, and a diverse calendar of live shows - from DJs and bands to quiz nights and kids programming.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Design assets for marketing campaigns, events, signage, packaging, and digital platforms
* Collaborate with internal teams and partners to bring ideas to life
* Own multiple projects and deadlines across the full design lifecycle - from concept to artwork
* Maintain and evolve Freight Island's visual identity across all touch points
* Translate briefs into compelling creative that connects with diverse audiences
* Artworking and asset creation using existing templates where appropriate
* Basic video editing capability
* Create content in line with brand strategy and campaign objectives
* Support event and food & drink partners with co-branded collateral
* Take feedback constructively and refine work quickly and effectively
What You'll Bring
* 4+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in F&B, events or hospitality
* A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing branding and campaign work
* Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator essential; After Effects or Premiere a bonus)
* Experience designing for both digital and print environments
* Ability to work at pace while maintaining attention to detail
* Passion for food, culture, and live experiences
* Strong typography and layout skills
* Understanding of how great design supports marketing goals
* Confidence working independently and within a team
* Knowledge of front-end web design principles a plus
* Basic illustration skills would be advantageous
