Are you a social care professional experienced in supporting children and young people to reach their full potential? We are looking for caring individuals who share Quarriers' values to join our team as an Intensive Support Practitioner within Quarriers Village.
Your new opportunity
Quarriers is currently recruiting Relief Intensive Support Practitioners to join Rivendell, a registered care home for children set in an idyllic location at Quarriers Village. Rivendell is a 24/7 service supporting children with diverse needs such as autism & ADHD. Some children are non-verbal and have complex sensory needs and have experienced trauma. We tailor support to each child's needs to ensure a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
As an Intensive Support Practitioner, you will work as part of a team or independently on a 1:2:1 basis with each child. You will be skilled in adapting support to meet individual needs, including behavioral support for children with complex trauma and distressed behaviors, especially during nighttime shifts. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and wellbeing of each child, along with general household tasks during your shift.
Working pattern
This is a Relief post with varying hours.
What you will need to be considered
* Experience and knowledge of working with children & families in similar settings.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for recording and reporting.
* Willingness to develop and learn to support and adapt care based on individual needs.
* Ability to support children, families, and young people, including enabling rights and delivering person-centered, trauma-informed care.
* Flexible and reliable.
* A driver with access to own transport is desirable due to the location.
