Plant Hire Coordinator – Leighton Buzzard
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Hire Coordinator in Leighton Buzzard to join a successful and fast-growing plant hire business. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent customer service, and experience in plant hire, construction, logistics, or a similar sector. The position offers hybrid working and a supportive team environment.
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Salary: £30, – £34, per annum + company pension + on-site parking
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-time
Job Type: Permanent (Hybrid Role)

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage day-to-day plant-hire desk operations.
2. Process hire contracts, allocate equipment, and organise delivery/collection schedules.
3. Handle customer enquiries, prepare quotations, and advise on the most suitable equipment.
4. Coordinate transport and logistics with drivers and yard staff.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all systems.
6. Liaise with suppliers and monitor fleet availability to ensure efficient hire management.
7. Support general office administration and related operational duties.
Essential Skills & Experience
8. Minimum of one year’s experience in plant hire, construction, logistics, or a related field.
9. Strong administration and customer service background.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication.
11. Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
12. Confident using MS Office; hire management software expertise required.
13. Keen attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
