We are March, the UK's leading provider of critical engineering services. Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process and digital services has led to long-term partnerships with leading organisations in everything from food and drink and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear.

As the Vessel/tank builder, you will use engineering principles and material science to create tanks that meet specific requirements whilst adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Understand engineering drawings, standards, or specifications to determine the type, size, and shape of vessels to be fabricated.
* Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
* Using various tools and machines such as Guillotine, presses, or welding equipment to shape and assemble parts of the vessel.
* Conduct regular inspecting and testing on assembled vessels for leaks or defects, observing hydrostatic and dimensional tests, and conducting visual examinations.
* Attaching fittings, valves, or accessories as required by the specific design of the pressure vessel.
* Documenting completed work and keeping track of the materials used for inventory and ordering purposes.
* Following safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the structural integrity of the pressure vessels.
* Test and refine components to ensure functionality and safety.
* Perform repairs and upgrades to existing vessels, including identifying defects and determining the best methods for repairing them.
* Maintaining and cleaning machinery and tools used in the fabrication process.

Skills and Experience

* Technical training in welding and fabrication.
* Proven experience as a Vessel Fabricator or similar related field.
* Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and engineering plans.
* Full awareness of industry standards.
* Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy equipment and work for extended periods.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
