The post holder will provide clinical and professional leadership to a team of designated clinical and non-clinical educators/trainers responsible for coaching, supporting and training of all staff groups who use approved Clinical Decision Software System (CDSS). This includes ensuring that staff receive the education they require to maintain the knowledge, skills and competence to deliver a safe, high-quality service to callers.
The post holder is responsible for leading the development, planning and coordination of high-quality education and training for the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust, including working collaboratively with the Trust's Workforce and Organisational Development Directorate and the National Ambulance Training College.
The post holder contributes to the development, implementation and management of education, professional and clinical practice across the organisation, predominantly within the Remote Integrated Care Service (RICS) setting. The post holder will also provide professional and clinical leadership across the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust.
The post holder is accountable for developing, planning, and delivering education, professional and clinical practice, clinical leadership, and guidance in line with requirements set out by Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Welsh Government and local strategies.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic telephone triage clinician with significant relevant experience in telephone triage, team leadership, organisational management, learning and development, and clinical governance to join the Welsh Ambulance Service Team at a time of exciting development and progress.
The successful candidate will lead a team of practice educators and training assistants, and be responsible for providing education, training, and other areas of clinical governance related to telephone triage. Above all, the successful candidate must have a desire to inspire others and improve patient care through robust clinical governance.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
