Job Overview:Main Road Motor Company are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team.We are family run business that have over 30 year experience in the motor trade owning and operating main dealer franchises for majority of that time. This allows us to have a great working culture that mixes main dealer standards with a family run business feel.As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs- Follow repair manuals, schematics, and technical specifications to complete repairs- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts for repair or replacement- Test vehicle systems to ensure proper functioning- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performedRequirements:- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician.- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals- Excellent problem-solving skills- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labour as required- Customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional mannerNote: This position requires the ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods of time.If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, we invite you to apply for this position.
