We’re working with a supportive primary school in Wallasey who are looking for a full-time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 4 from after half-term.
This is a rewarding role for someone patient, consistent and confident in building strong relationships.
The Role:
1. Providing dedicated 1:1 support in a Year 4 class
2. Supporting learning across the curriculum
3. Encouraging engagement, focus and independence
4. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
5. Implementing tailored strategies to meet individual needs
We’re looking for someone who:
6. Has recent primary school experience (KS2 preferred)
7. Is confident working 1:1
8. Has strong behaviour management skills
9. Is calm, reliable and nurturing
10. Can commit full-time and provide consistency

Job Specification
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.
We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;
11. NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
12. NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
13. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
14. CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
15. BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).
We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
25. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
26. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
27. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
28. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
29. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
