Job Description
As a Chartered Legal Executive with a specialism in Immigration Law, you will:
* Provide professional immigration advice and representation to private and corporate clients
* Manage a varied caseload including asylum, visa applications, sponsorship, naturalisation, and appeals
* Draft legal documents, witness statements, cover letters and prepare applications to the Home Office and relevant tribunals
* Attend client meetings, provide consultations, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction
* Stay up to date with changes in immigration legislation and case law
* Work closely with the wider legal team and support staff to deliver efficient, compliant legal solutions
* Represent clients before tribunals, where applicable
* Ensure compliance with all SRA or CILEX regulations and maintain proper file management and data protection standards
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
* Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure favourable terms.
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
* Prepare and present reports on performance metrics, project status, and strategic plans to senior management.
* Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and industry leaders.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
* Chartered Legal Executive status (CILEx qualified or equivalent)
* A minimum of 2 years' experience specifically in UK immigration law
* A proven track record of handling complex immigration cases independently
* Strong drafting and legal research skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A client-focused approach with a high level of professionalism
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK immigration policies, Home Office procedures and relevant legal frameworks
* The ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
* High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate legal records
* A commitment to CPD and professional development
