What will you be doing?
Financial Planning & Analysis
* Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the division.
* Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance commentary to aid decision-making.
* Assist in the development of financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
Business Partnering
* Act as a trusted advisor to operational and commercial teams, providing financial guidance and challenge.
* Attend monthly trading reviews and contribute to performance discussions with actionable insights.
* Collaborate with contract managers to drive margin improvement and cost efficiency.
Reporting & Governance
* Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Support balance sheet reviews and ensure financial controls are adhered to.
* Monitor contract WIP and assist in working capital optimisation efforts.
Commercial Finance
* Contribute to pricing strategies, bids, and tenders by providing financial input and risk assessment.
* Assist in the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals for new projects.
* Support contract negotiations with financial analysis and scenario modelling.
What You’ll Bring
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
* Experience in a business-facing finance role, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or utilities.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in financial systems and Excel-based modelling.
