Are you a proactive SEN TA who enjoys making a measurable difference to children’s learning and wellbeing? A popular primary school in Richmond is recruiting a dedicated SEN TA to join the inclusion team from January 2026. This Richmond SEN TA role will involve delivering targeted small-group programmes, providing one-to-one support, assisting with social communication work and helping pupils to generalise skills into whole-class lessons. The successful SEN TA will receive a full induction and handover before January 2026, with the SEN TA in post from January 2026 and supported by an experienced SENCo and phase team. Role responsibilities Deliver evidence-informed one-to-one and group interventions as a SEN TA, monitoring and recording impact. Adapt resources and provide timely scaffolding to enable access to the Richmond curriculum. Support pupils’ social, emotional and sensory needs through planned strategies and routines. Contribute to review meetings, prepare concise progress summaries and support transition planning. Work alongside therapists, parents and colleagues to ensure consistent approaches across Richmond. Person specification Experience working with pupils with SEND in educational settings as a SEN TA. Practical knowledge of intervention techniques, communication strategies and behaviour support. Empathetic, reliable and comfortable building strong relationships with pupils and families in Richmond. Able to start January 2026, with attendance at induction and training before January 2026.
