* Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth employees advancing to an RN position may be eligible for an Up-Skill bonus; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation from employment.
All new graduate RNs (less than 1 year RN experience) hired into regular status positions are automatically enrolled in our Residency program in conjunction with their unit-based employment.

Summary
The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, commitment to community, and accountability. In accordance with national standards of nursing practice and Maine Medical Center policies, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care. Care delivery may occur in inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, or community settings.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
2. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Maine.
3. No experience required; cardiac experience preferred.
4. Basic knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and theories.
5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Analytical ability to identify patient condition changes and initiate appropriate actions.
7. Automatic enrollment in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program for RNs with less than 1 year of experience. Exceptions may be considered on an individual basis.
8. Eligibility for Clinical Nurse II position after meeting performance criteria at 12 months.
