The Role Shape how the world's leading AI teams discover and adopt cutting-edge technology. As our Head of Content, you'll own and scale our global content engine in one of the most exciting spaces in tech. This is a high-impact role at the core of our pipeline strategy — where your work will directly influence how prospects discover, evaluate, and buy. You'll lead content strategy, creation, and distribution, focusing on the formats that matter most — whether that's scaling our video and webinar programmes, launching a flagship podcast series, or pioneering new content experiences that create buzz. While we work across multiple channels (blog, SEO, paid, product marketing, events), you'll have the autonomy to prioritise and invest in the initiatives that drive the greatest commercial impact, supported by a team of 2 content professionals with budget to grow. What you'll do Build a scalable content engine - identifying key formats, topics, and channels that move the needle across the buyer journey, including video content, webinars, and podcasts Create sophisticated, technical content that positions us as thought leaders among senior AI executives and decision-makers Own our content ecosystem through a commercial lens - ensuring every piece attracts the right audience, resonates with their needs, and drives conversions Pioneer new content formats that create buzz and expand our reach while driving pipeline Collaborate with Product, Design, and Sales to ensure all content is accurate and compelling Conduct prospect research to inform content strategy and voice-of-customer messaging Represent the company at events, conferences, and partner gatherings (flexible travel schedule averaging 2 weeks per quarter across Europe and USA, planned well in advance) Who we're looking for At least 6 years of experience in B2B SaaS, with a minimum of 2 years leading content teams Experience building scalable content operations using AI — from automating workflows and personalising content at scale to creating systematic processes that multiply output without sacrificing quality Experience creating content for ML, Data Science, or DataOps personas is highly desirable A track record of successfully producing diverse content formats including video, webinars, or podcasts that drive both engagement and conversions Ability to create technical, substantive content that earns the respect of senior leaders and technical audiences Both commercial and strategic — understanding how to place smart bets on content activities that drive the greatest business impact Able to develop high-level strategy but also roll up your sleeves and execute Comfortable with ambiguity, fast pace, and changing priorities — you take initiative without waiting for perfect conditions Experience requirements 6 years of experience in content marketing within B2B SaaS, with at least 2 years in a content leadership role managing a team and owning a content budget Proven track record of building and scaling a multi-format content engine — with demonstrable impact on pipeline, organic traffic, or brand authority, not just output volume Experience producing and distributing diverse content formats including long-form written content, video, webinars, and podcasts, with an understanding of what drives engagement and conversion across each Demonstrated ability to create technically sophisticated content for senior and technical audiences — you can write or commission pieces that earn genuine credibility with ML engineers, data scientists, and technical executives Experience using AI tools to scale content operations — automating workflows, personalising at scale, and systematising production processes without sacrificing quality Strong commercial instincts — you understand how content maps to the buyer journey, can prioritise initiatives by revenue impact, and are comfortable being held accountable to pipeline metrics Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Design to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and commercial alignment Willingness to travel approximately 2 weeks per quarter across Europe and the US for events and conferences Bonus: Prior experience creating content for ML, Data Science, or DataOps personas; experience launching a podcast or video series from scratch; familiarity with SEO strategy and content attribution tooling Why Encord Competitive salary, commission, and equity in a high-growth startup Strong in-person culture — most of the team works from our London office 3 days/week 25 days annual leave UK public holidays Annual learning & development budget Travel for customer visits, events, and conferences across the UK and Europe Company lunches twice a week Monthly socials & bi-annual team offsites
