Job Description
* Job role:
To work as part of the FM team undertaking a range of duties and tasks comprising but not exclusively electrical works, plant and machinery maintenance, and PPM activities in order to meet
the Contractor's contractual Service requirements. To support the direct operational activities of the Contract in respect of value for money asset management.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To perform Planned Programmed Maintenance activities
To perform reactive repairs
To perform maintenance tasks
To monitor performance of plant and equipment
To plan, resource and undertake remedial works arising from Planned Programmed Maintenance, reactive repairs and maintenance tasks
To close works tasks in a timely and satisfactory manner within the required rectification times to minimise possibility of incurring performance penalties
To update Planned Programmed Maintenance records and other relevant records to evidence
statutory compliance and to meet G4S H & S Policy and Safe Systems of Work Procedures
To ensure daily recording of tasks/events/actions is carried out and reported as appropriate
To act as the Responsible Person for LV
To undertake works under ANC/ Variations including preparation of work schedules, costs and quotes for requested works
To provide advice, guidance and support to the FM team to achieve completion of tasks and works
To maintain competencies in and provide appropriate advice and guidance to contractors / employees / management to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with H&S legislation and good
practice
To comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and emergency procedures as required
Carry out any other activity that is reasonably required by Senior Management.
Qualifications/experience/skills required:
Essential:
To hold (and maintain):
Current edition of the IET Wiring Regs
PASMA Safe Use of a Scaffold Tower or Mobile Tower
IPAF Certification
IOSH Managing Safety
Asbestos Awareness
Working knowledge of the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
Working knowledge of British Standard BS 7671 (formerly the 1992 IEE Wiring Regulations)
Operational and maintenance experience of LV systems, alarm systems, BMS systems (TREND) and electrical works associated with plant and equipment
Knowledgeable in relevant Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permit to Work procedures
PC literacy, MS Office Suite
Full driving licence with Category Part BE
To hold relevant DBS clearance and to meet G4S vetting procedures.
Desirable:
To hold (and maintain):
Qualified to minimum of HNC or equivalent in a Building Services, Electrical and Mechanical discipline
Water Hygiene - Lineally Awareness Course.
