Fabric Cutter | Manchester | Permanent Are you an experienced Fabric Cutter with strong attention to detail and excellent fabric calculation skills? We are recruiting for a skilled Fabric Cutter to join a well-established sofa manufacturer based in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term role with weekly pay and regular overtime available. Location: Manchester Pay Rate: Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience) Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (often available weekday evenings and Saturdays 7am–12pm) Pay Frequency: Weekly About the Role: You will play a key role in the production process, ensuring all fabrics are cut accurately and efficiently to minimise waste while maintaining the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Follow works order instructions and review all job tickets carefully Cut fabric to precise measurements Calculate fabric requirements and optimise layout to reduce waste Layer fabrics accurately before cutting Identify and report any fabric issues to management Maintain accurate fabric stock records Cut lining cloth where required Prioritise workload effectively Record completed jobs accurately Communicate delays or issues with the wider team Maintain a clean and safe working environment Adhere to company health and safety policies Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm Breaks: 15 minutes paid 30 minutes unpaid (1:00pm – 1:30pm) Benefits: Regular overtime opportunities Cycle to Work scheme Employee discount PPE provided Christmas shutdown One-week shutdown at the end of July Experience Required Minimum 2 years’ full-time upholstery fabric cutting experience Currently working in the trade or within the last 2 years Relocation Support Available: If you're not local to Manchester, we offer a bespoke "Recruit and Relocate" solution to help you move and settle in the area.
