JOB DESCRIPTION To work as part of a multidisciplinary team, acting as the first point of contact for individuals accessing the Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) new One Stop Shop (Compass). The aim of Compass is to remove barriers to accessing support for people affected by alcohol and drugs use; including individuals not currently accessing support for their alcohol or drug use, recently released from prison or hospital or who have experienced a recent near fatal overdose. Providing peer-based support, harm reduction advice and information, advocacy, and an element of coordination of support for people to engage with a range of services (both within and out with the OSS) to support their recovery. REQUIREMENTS This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made. It should be noted that successful candidates will be placed on a bank list and contacted to work dependent on service requirements.
