We are looking to recruit a Student Communications and Events Manager to lead, plan, develop and deliver targeted and impactful student events and student facing communications to a diverse student body. This is a 12 month fixed term role providing maternity leave cover.
The successful candidate will manage the Student Communications and Events Team and report to the Director of Student Support and Engagement. The role is key in enabling the University to achieve its student experience and engagement objectives.
A key aspect of the role will be supporting the delivery of welcome communications for new students, helping applicants progress confidently through the final stages of their journey to enrolment. This includes providing timely, engaging information that helps students feel prepared, informed and connected as they transition into university life. Throughout the academic cycle, the team plans and delivers a programme of student facing communications and events using a range of channels, including email, social media, printed materials, digital screens and the University’s student facing app. Communications activity is supported by the University’s CRM system, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, which is used to segment audiences and personalise communications.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, innovative, and versatile in their approach, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Applicants will need experience in events and communications planning, as well as in leading and coordinating the work of a team. Strong IT skills across a range of platforms is essential, as well as the ability to monitor and analyse data. Experience in working within Higher Education is desirable.
This role will be located at Leeds Trinity University campus in Horsforth, and our Leeds City Centre Campus. Through our agile working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
