Job Title: Technical Manager
Location: Stourbridge
Salary: from £55k + benefits
Shift Patterns: 06:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday (Must be willing to do overtime)

As Technical Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality. You'll be a hands-on leader with a passion for continuous improvement, mentoring, and technical excellence.
This role may also suit someone who isn't yet a Technical Manager but is technically talented, with strong process control and process management experience, and ready to take the next step in their career.
What you will be doing:
Driving improvements in safety, efficiency, utilisation, and housekeeping across the site.
Implementing best-practice process control tools to optimise yield and minimise waste.
Coordinating testing programmes, certifications, and quality assurance protocols.
Leading root cause analysis investigations and embedding corrective/preventive actions.
Supporting transition from manual to automated grinding, reducing scrap and rework.
Collaborating with suppliers, machinists, and customers to keep ahead of new technologies.
Overseeing metrology, 3D scanning, and virtual assemblies, while developing team capability.
Embedding a culture of "right first time, every time" throughout the departmentWhat we're looking for:
A strong background in castings within a foundry.
Experience with process improvement, quality systems, and technical leadership.
Knowledge of tools such as Magmasoft simulation would be an advantage.
A proven ability to mentor, inspire, and manage technical teams.
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.
