This setting, based in Potters Bar, is looking for a deputy manager to join the team.

Hours: 40 hours a week
Salary: £24,000 to £26,000 gross per year depending on experience
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Nursery Manager in daily operations and assume responsibility in their absence.
* Oversee the planning and implementation of a high-quality Montessori and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
* Support and guide the teaching team in creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for children.
* Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development.
* Collaborate with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Assist in maintaining accurate records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Contribute to the development and execution of policies and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices.
Qualifications:
* A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing exceptional care and support to children and their families.
* Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
* A Montessori qualification preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its application in a nursery setting.
* Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate and lead a team of educators and support staff.
* Should have a valid First Aid and DBS certificate.
* Up-to-date safeguarding training.
* Any additional relevant qualifications or certifications will be considered an asset.
* Knowledge of educational journals online.
