We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Gambling Practitioner to join our specialist service supporting individuals and communities affected by gambling-related harm.
Gambling Practitioner – Tyne and Wear
* Hours: 35 hours per week
* Salary: £28,700 per annum
* Contract: Full-time, Permanent
* Bonus: £250 referral bonus & £250 new starter bonus
Key Responsibilities
* Manage referrals, screening, and assessments
* Deliver recovery-focused interventions, including one-to-one, group work, relapse prevention, and mutual aid
* Develop and review recovery care plans using evidence-based approaches (e.g. MI, CBT-informed practice)
* Promote engagement with peer support and self-help resources
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies and deliver training and awareness sessions
* Maintain accurate records, manage a caseload, and contribute to service evaluation
Essential Requirements
* NQF Level 4 qualification (or above) in a relevant field
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs (e.g. addictions or mental health)
* Knowledge of safeguarding and governance
* Strong communication and partnership-working skills
* Commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented practice
