Job Role & Responsibilities
A hands-on Night Shift Engineer role within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment, focused on keeping production running smoothly through effective reactive and planned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on food processing and packaging machinery
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment
* Support line start-ups, changeovers, and overall night shift operations
* Complete PPM schedules and engineering documentation accurately
* Work in line with health, safety, food hygiene, and site procedures
The Ideal Candidate will have
* Time-served experience or a Level 3 qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled)
* Background in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and confidently on night shifts
* Solid understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards
Desirable Skills
* Multi-skilled engineering capability
* Experience with continuous improvement or reliability-focused maintenance
* Familiarity with modern manufacturing equipment and systems
