This is an excellent opportunity for an established Children’s Home Manager or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, who has a passion for delivering high‑quality, child‑centred care within a regulated residential environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day‑to‑day management of the home, ensuring compliance with regulations, safeguarding standards, and the delivery of positive outcomes for children and young people. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and management of the children’s residential home Ensure full compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards Lead and promote a strong safeguarding culture, acting in the best interests of children at all times Manage and support staff through supervision, appraisals, training, and performance management Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies Ensure the home is fully prepared for inspections and audits within a regulated environment Work effectively with placing authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals Manage rotas, staffing levels, budgets, and day‑to‑day operational requirements Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with regulatory expectations Promote a positive, stable, and nurturing environment for children and young people Essential Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a children’s residential care home Experience managing or supporting the day‑to‑day running of a residential children’s service Strong understanding of children’s residential care regulations and safeguarding requirements Experience working within a regulated environment Proven leadership and people‑management skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound professional decisions Commitment to delivering high standards of care and positive outcomes Desirable Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Acting Manager, or Deputy Manager Relevant qualifications in Residential Childcare or Leadership & Management Experience supporting inspections and regulatory compliance What’s on Offer Permanent, full‑time position Opportunity to work with a dedicated and values‑driven provider Supportive leadership structure Competitive salary (discussed at interview) Long‑term career progression opportunities How to Apply If you are an experienced Children’s Residential professional and feel this role aligns with your skills and career goals, we would love to hear from you.
