A fantastic opportunity has opened for Senior Social Workers in Hackney’s Family Help Service and a fixed‑term role in our new Extra‑Familial Harm Team.
Role Summary
As a Senior Social Worker in the Family Help Service, you will work at the forefront of best practice within a supportive social work team. Your responsibilities include delivering high‑quality interventions to children and families, providing supervision to qualified social workers, supporting the Team Manager with leadership and staff development, and contributing to the service’s organisational learning and service development. You will also represent the service in external partnerships and uphold our systemic, trauma‑informed and anti‑racist practice model.
1. Deliver high‑quality interventions to children and families.
2. Provide supervision to qualified social workers.
3. Support the Team Manager with leadership and staff development.
4. Implement best practice, anti‑racist, systemic and trauma‑informed approaches.
5. Represent the service in external partnerships.
6. Contribute to organisational learning and service development.
Qualifications
Must hold a Social Work England recognised social work qualification or equivalent, be registered with Social Work England, and have evidence of continuing professional development. An enhanced DBS check is required.
Experience & Skills
Experience delivering complex cases involving children and families, supervisory experience, and knowledge of anti‑racist and systemic practice are preferred.
