Join to apply for the Mental Health Support Worker role at Acuity Care Group.
We are looking for upbeat, engaging support workers to join a mixed-gender team working with a young person in their own home in Chesterfield.
Responsibilities
* Provide support with daily living tasks as needed and promote independence.
* Assist with financial management; all spending requests go through the team.
* Support the mentee’s mental health needs and respond appropriately to challenging behaviours.
* De-escalate situations with empathy and confidence.
Qualifications and Experience
* Resilient, calm, and consistent; non-judgemental and supportive.
* Passionate about helping build healthy routines and boundaries.
* Able to connect with clients on a personal level (interest in music, fitness, or social activities is a plus).
* Experience with mental health diagnoses (especially personality disorders) and supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
* Experience guiding someone with risky or impulsive behaviours.
What We Offer
* Shift Pattern: Full Time Waking Nights – 20:00 to 08:00.
* Pay rate: £14.18 per hour.
