Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a small team of design engineers.
* Develop and produce advanced mechanical designs using CAD and simulation tools.
* Produce technical reports and documentation to support engineering decisions.
* Conduct calculations and technical analysis for pressure systems and fluid flow.
* Collaborate across disciplines to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Essential Experience
* Proven mechanical design experience in a professional engineering environment.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering teams.
* Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and health and safety legislation.
* Experience in highly regulated industries such as rail, aviation, oil & gas.
* Knowledge of pressure systems, CAD, component simulation, fluid flow analysis, or submarine system design.
Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
