Salary: £49,400+ Dependent of experience
What You'll Be Doing
Lead defect reduction initiatives using structured Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies and Six Sigma (DMAIC) tools to drive measurable quality improvements
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement robust corrective actions within agreed timescales, ensuring sustainable solutions and minimal operational disruption
Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing clear insight and data-driven updates to Quality and Operations leadership
Chair regular corrective action review meetings, ensuring accountability, tracking progress, documenting outcomes, and escalating risks where required
Strengthen external customer relationships through structured review meetings, promoting transparent two-way communication and collaborative problem-solving
Essential
Your skills and experiences
Data analysis capability with the ability to interpret, manipulate, and present data to support evidence-based recommendations and drive informed decision-making (Power BI, Tableau, Minitab)
Knowledge and experience of problems solving tools and techniques e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, 8D
Experience working within a Quality or Engineering role, ideally in a highly regulated environment (aerospace industry/automotive/oil and gas)
Having the ability to build good relationships and a collaborative approach to continuous improvement with stakeholder management skills
Desirable
Experience of project management and Life Cycle Management
Knowledge and experience of Process Management within a manufacturing setting
Knowledge of Quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. AS9100)

The Quality Control Team
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the definition and delivery of improvement plans within a manufacturing environment. The role will involve carrying out root cause analysis using industry standard methods and managing the implementation of corrective actions with various stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your Quality skill set and influence overall operational performance within the Typhoon Major Units & Electrics.
