The Position: Construction Manager (SC Cleared)
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a UK Nuclear Defence project on a contract basis. This role offers an initial 3–4 month assignment, with the possibility of extension, and requires on-site presence in Derby.
The Construction Manager will provide client-side oversight and ensure that construction activities are effectively planned, documented, coordinated, and delivered safely and to programme. You will play a key role in stakeholder integration and report directly to the Construction Programme Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the main responsibilities of the Construction Manager will include:
* Providing on-site project support and client-side oversight of contractors.
* Ensuring construction activities are planned and executed in line with safety and programme requirements.
* Coordinating documentation and reporting to the Construction Programme Manager.
* Maintaining strong integration with internal and external stakeholders.
* Supporting compliance with relevant CDM and safety regulations.
Preferred Profile:

* Must hold valid SC Clearance.
* Experience in a similar role within UK Defence or Nuclear environments.
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations.
* Proven background managing and coordinating construction activities on complex projects.
* Ability to work full-time on-site in Derby, UK.
Contract Details:
* Start Date: ASAP
* Duration: 3–4 months (potential extension)
* Rate: £400 per day
* IR35 Status: Outside IR35
* Location: Derby, UK (on-site, up to 5 days per week)
