Overview
We are offering two Palliative Medicine Consultant positions with the Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust (SASH) and St. Catherine’s Hospice (Pease Pottage). These posts arise from retirements in each team and will be employed by SASH to emphasise our overlapping patient populations and close working relationships between the two organisations.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide safe, effective, evidence‑based, patient‑centred specialist palliative care in the selected setting.
* Contribute to clinical governance, education and service development.
* Participate in senior clinical leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
* Support hospital admission avoidance where clinically appropriate.
Working Arrangements
Post holders will be primarily based at either East Surrey Hospital (SASH) or St. Catherine’s Hospice. Both contracts are held by SASH. Posts are full‑time equivalent (WTE) but part‑time (LTFT) applications will be considered.
