About the role
We are looking for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our established Team. Based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and with potential to work across all Trust sites, you will support the Health and Safety Team in providing an effective, professional H&S service across the Trust, working in both clinical and non-clinical settings. You will act as the day-to-day first point of contact for H&S matters at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Support the Health and Safety Team in providing an effective, professional H&S service across the Trust, working in both clinical and non-clinical settings.
* Act as the day-to-day first point of contact for H&S matters at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
* Undertake policy development, audits, inspections, investigations and monitoring activities across the Trust.
* Serve as a course tutor for the in‑house IOSH Managing Safely and Working Safely courses.
Qualifications
* Current Certified Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
* Demonstrated ability to support continuing professional development while in post.
About the H&S Team
The H&S Team is an established team with bases at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury.
