Bohill Care Home is a modern, purpose‑built facility located just outside Coleraine Town Centre, surrounded by stunning countryside. Our home features 80 spacious single en‑suite bedrooms spread across two floors, along with beautifully maintained gardens that provide a peaceful space for residents to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
We offer specialised care across three dedicated units: Dementia Nursing, Dementia Residential, and Frail Elderly Nursing, all focused on delivering compassionate, person‑centred support.

The Role
You will pride yourself on providing high‑quality, person‑centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents. As a Care Assistant, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents.
About The Role
Main Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
* Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
* Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
* Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents' well‑being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
* Follow care plans tailored to individual residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

Required Criteria
* Right to work in the UK.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A good standard of oral and written English.
* A non‑judgemental approach to others.
* Excellent communication skills with the compassion required to deliver high‑quality care to our residents.
* Respectful to not only residents but the values and beliefs of other team members.
Desired Criteria
* Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
* Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
