Senior Design Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of design engineers, supporting Project Managers and delivery teams.
* Analyse preconstruction data, ensuring project designs meet client specifications.
* Solve design problems and develop solutions for mechanical equipment in power and process control.
* Produce design deliverables (specifications, drawings, data sheets, schedules) per contract requirements.
* Ensure design risk assessments consider innovation, safety, cost, and time constraints.
* Provide technical support to preconstruction and project delivery teams.
* Assist in identifying and pre-qualifying subcontractors.
* Participate in client meetings and coordinate with third-party contractors.
* Ensure designs are submitted and approved by the Client Project Manager.
* Continuously develop skills and stay updated on industry innovations.
* Ensure all design activities comply with the company\'s Integrated Management Systems.
* Provide guidance to site, construction, and remote delivery teams.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
* Electrical engineering qualification.
* Proven track record of design delivery.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to lead and motivate.
* Ability to travel, plan, manage, and prioritise workload.
Desirable Requirements:
* Previous experience in the water industry.
