You will work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing and validation teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.Working Hours & BenefitsMondayThursday: 8.30am 5.00pmFriday: 8.30am 1.30pm25 days holiday + bank holidaysBenefits include:Pension (up to 10% employer contribution)Life assurance (4x salary)Permanent Health InsurancePrivate Medical coverSubsidised canteenDiscounted gym membershipDiscounts across 100s of UK retailersEmployee Assistance ProgrammeHybrid workingFlexible start/finish timesFree onsite parkingKey ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of product development from concept through to mass production launchDeliver robust engineering designs in line with customer requirementsCarry out numerical analysis including thermodynamic and fluid transfer calculationsConduct design evaluations using CAD, calculations, prototype and validation testingSupport development solutions across design, validation and manufacturing engineering teamsPrepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholdersSupport engineering project management activities to ensure successful deliveryTravel to customer and supplier sites in the UK and overseas when requiredWhat Were Looking ForDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with a strong mechanical engineering focusMinimum 2 years experience within a Design or Development Engineering roleExperience managing engineering or product development projectsStrong 3D/2D CAD design experience, ideally using CREOUnderstanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Strong engineering problem-solving and analytical skillsInnovative mindset with a proactive approach to technical developmentAutomotive or off-highway industry experience would be advantageous but is not essentialTPBN1_UKTJ
