Dr Stephen Dunn & Partners, located within Dumbarton Health Centre, is a welcoming and well-established GP training practice caring for nearly 4,800 patients. We are excited to invite applications for a Receptionist to join our supportive, friendly team.
This is a 23.5- hour per week position, over 4 days, Monday to Friday. Candidates should be available between 0800-1800 with flexibility to provide cover for annual leave and sickness.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, calm and approachable, with strong communication skills and the ability to remain composed in a busy environment. Maintaining patient confidentiality is essential.
Experience in a busy customer facing role is required. Healthcare experience is a bonus, but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Main responsibilities:
1. Providing a professional and welcoming reception service to patients and visitors
2. Managing appointment bookings and patient enquiries both in person and over the telephone
3. Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence
4. Processing prescriptions and administrative tasks
5. Maintaining accurate patient records using practice systems
6. Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with general administrative duties
