Outdoor Education Assistant
Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic Outdoor Teaching Assistants to support SEMH Schools located in Eastleigh and Southampton.
The schools cater specifically to pupils with SEMH & Complex Needs. This is a great opportunity to help enrich and develop vulnerable young people's lives.
You will work with an excellent team in a fantastic environment where you can make a difference and play a key role in student development.
The successful candidate will work with pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education and have SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs). The provision offers outdoor activities through their Active Curriculum, including cycling, orienteering, multi-sports, and more.
This role is ideal for graduates seeking a career in teaching or those from a sports coaching background with relevant badges.
Contract Details:
* Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire

* Full-time: 35 hours per week
* Pay: From GBP 100.00 per day
Requirements:
* Experience in the SEN sector preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and desire are key.
* Experience with challenging behaviour is advantageous.
* Proactive in classroom and outdoor activities, with energy and enthusiasm.
* GCSEs in English & Maths; Degree or relevant qualifications preferred.
* Coaching badges: Level 1 or higher.
Eligibility:
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced child DBS registered with the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Two professional child-related references
