Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.
With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.
Job Advert Role Description
Princes Street is a 5 bedded Specialist Community Home based in Roath, Cardiff. The home caters to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Autism. The service provides 24/7 support to the residents within the home as well as community inclusion. The home is ideally located for safe, structured and gradual reintegration into the community along with good transport link to Cardiff city centre.

We are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated Support Worker at Princes Street who has experience of providing practical and/or emotional support to adults with mental health problems, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge.
You will be required to:
Provide excellent standards of person centred support to the people who use our service, maintaining the highest levels of privacy and respect, enabling them to lead as independent lives as possible and realise their potential.
Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks.
To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
Complete daily administration such as medication administration, updating records and completing accurate daily notes.
Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.
To undertake keyworking responsibility for individual residents, supporting the individual to plan goals and personal outcomes and ensure that these are comprehensively documented and reviewed.
Driving is not required but would be beneficial.
