A quick look at the role
We are looking for a Regional Business Development Manager to manage, motivate, and develop a sales team to maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities across Yorkshire in order to deliver profitable revenue growth for the SME division. The role involves managing and influencing a range of day-to-day and strategic issues within the new business team. You will have the scope to drive the return on sales through planned, objective management of the sales team's activities and processes. You will also be instrumental in ensuring that Biffa stays ‘ahead of the game’ with respect to service offering, business model, and operating methods.
Your core responsibilities
1. Deliver sales team target performance at both regional and depot levels.
2. Achieve and exceed sales team quarterly and annual new business targets.
3. Manage a sales territory and prospect lists for business opportunities.
4. Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity on the Company Operating System.
5. Produce and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly personal performance reports.
6. Liaise regularly with Depot Manager / RGM to determine sales rollouts within the region.
7. Be the primary interface between Biffa and target customers.
8. Responsible for sales prospecting and pricing negotiations.
