To bring more schools on board where you live, we first need great Teaching Assistants pre-registering to our platform and it only takes a copy of your CV...When you sign up, you make it possible for us to go to schools in your area and say: “You don’t need to rely on agencies, you can book these support staff directly through Flexzo Teach, without an agency or the additional charges that come with the current agency recruitment model.”About the RoleWe’re looking for Teaching Assistants who want:Flexible work with local schoolsDirect bookings (no agency representative) schools contact you via the platformControl over your time and pay, you set your availability and your ratesYou are not “represented” by an agency. Instead, schools see your profile, your experience and your rates, and decide to book you directly with no middleman interference and full transparency.ResponsibilitiesDepending on the school and setting, your responsibilities may include:Supporting the class teacher with learning activities and routinesWorking with pupils 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learningProviding additional support for pupils with SEND or additional needsHelping to prepare resources and keep learning spaces organisedSupporting behaviour and promoting positive classroom expectationsAssisting with assessment, feedback and record-keeping as directedFollowing safeguarding and child protection procedures at all timesCommunicating clearly with school staff before, during and after placementsQualificationsExperience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar classroom-based role (school, tutoring or youth work experience considered)Understanding of the UK school environment and safeguarding expectationsRight to work in the UKEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and up-to-date safeguarding awarenessRequired SkillsAbility to build positive relationships with pupils and staffGood communication skills, both written and verbalReliability, professionalism and strong organisational skillsConfidence supporting learning under the direction of the class teacherCommitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young peoplePreferred SkillsExperience across different key stages (EYFS, KS1, KS2 and/or secondary)Experience supporting pupils with SEND, EAL or additional needsWork history in a range of school types (e.g. mainstream, academies, SEN settings, PRUs)Flexibility to work across nearby areasPay Range and CompensationYou set your own day rate/hourly rate within the Flexzo Teach platform, and you will speak with an advisor who can consult with you on the best rate for your experience and qualifications.
