Our client are an independent and growing electrical contracting company based in Redditch, delivering high-quality electrical installations and services across the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. With a reputation for reliability and excellence, they are now looking to expand their team with a skilled Electrical Estimator to support their continued growth.
Role Overview
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for a variety of electrical projects within the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. You’ll work closely with management and clients to understand project requirements, assess technical specifications, and deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and quotations for new tenders and projects.
* Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices for materials and services.
* Carry out site visits where necessary to gather relevant project information.
* Support the project team throughout the tender and delivery stages.
* Maintain and update estimating records and cost databases.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the commercial, industrial, or retail sectors.
* Strong understanding of electrical installations, materials, and relevant regulations.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with estimating software is advantageous.
* Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
