We now employ over 100 employees in our 87,000 square foot facility, ensuring we have the resources to deliver exceptional results on every project Due to continued growth we are seeking a highly motivated Fabrication Manager The Fabrication Manager is responsible for delivering expert technical support across all aspects of fabrication, with a strong focus on process efficiency, continuous improvement, and the application of time and motion principles. This role will strategically lead the planning and execution of manufacturing operations within the Fabrication department, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end fabrication process, identifying and resolving errors before work is issued to the shop floor. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency, reduce waste, and drive cost savings. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in fabrication and welding, integrating relevant innovations into departmental operations. Collaborate with design programmers to resolve technical queries and improve communication between programming and fabrication teams. Take full responsibility for planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily and weekly workloads to ensure efficient workflow through the Fabrication department, in line with the productions schedule. Partner with the Quality team to develop, implement, and maintain robust processes and procedures. Lead corrective action processes in response to quality issues, including managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Foster a culture of innovation and proactive problem-solving across the fabrication team. Support skills development and cross-training initiatives, ensuring team members are upskilled and new starters are effectively onboarded. Skills & Experience: Strong technical knowledge of fabrication and welding processes, equipment, and materials. Proven experience in a variety of fabrication sectors i.e POS, Structural, Automotive Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
